grown up in germany – first musical influences from the uprising trance and techno scene of the early 90s represented by locals like torsten fenslau, dj dag, jam el mar or f.e.o.s…
producing tracks since 199x starting with state of the art trance music as typical for european mainstream productions, later on experienced the chicago and new york way of deephouse and finally ended up with detroit techno.
first release in may 2007 with "mind drift" on "harley&muscle play deep house 4th chapter" – still waiting for more to come…!
you’re welcome to check out my current productions and mix sessions at deepcitygroovez.com.
so, another deephouse page? yes, deephouse is in focus but that’s not everything about deepcitygroovez. the basic idea is urban music and urban life and, of course, promoting underground material! it‘s an attempt to define an understanding of music expressing the raw, vivid and very often lonely feeling of urban places – not stopping with deephouse but creating a link from housemusic to other kinds of urban music like detroit techno, jazz, funk and also hip hop & electro sounds… getting the best out of any urban music.
deepcitygroovez.com is about the true love of housemusic, it‘s about living in the city and city music – music that lets us know every day that there exists a deeper sense for us. it‘s about the beauty of life as about the depths – for life can be so hard sometimes! it‘s about chicago, detroit and new york as the most relevant places of modern music, about authenticity and keeping it real (and by that, it’s against nowadays’ fake society!). at least, it‘s just about freedom…!
music is living – greetings from the dcg…
